Film Celebrating an American Music Icon Marks the End of an Era
MINNEAPOLIS – Bradford Entertainment, Inc. is excited to announce the release of the music documentary, “Bunkers: An American Music Story” (www.bunkersmusicstory.com), a tribute to the Minneapolis Blues music scene, and the world-class musicians who have made Bunkers Music Bar & Grill their home for the last two decades.
Executive Producer, Bradford Thompson says, “It’s thrilling to produce a documentary with so many wonderful and seasoned musicians! I wanted to capture the magic that happens nightly on the Bunkers stage, and share it with the world.”
The film features performances and interviews by Ricky Peterson (2006 worldwide tour with John Mayer), Mick Sterling & the Stud Brothers, Melanie Rosales (former background vocalist for Bonnie Raitt), Debbie Duncan (nominated Best Female Vocalist, 2006 MN Music Awards), Tina Schlieske, the TC Jammers, and GB Leighton, with fiercely talented musicians too many to mention. These are rare and exceptional performances, some of which will never happen again. Mick Sterling & the Stud Brothers have disbanded since the production of this film, and the members of the original TC Jammers are now scattered across the United States.
The film is currently available at Electric Fetus, Cheapo, Borders (St. Paul), Amazon.com, and via the film e-store at www.bunkersmusicstory.com. Best Buy has agreed to shelve the film regionally, and BEI has secured a distributor to further that endeavor, as well as additional opportunities.
